RASPI CONTROL
Control up to EIGHT RF relays or remote control sockets from your Arduino or Raspberry Pi or microcontroller.
In this Mode you can control up to eight RF relays or plug sockets without the Raspberry Pi, Arduino or microcontroller being connected to the high voltage. This makes it very safe because you don't have to go near the relays or plug socket. It has the advantage of being able to control EIGHT sockets unlike the IOT Power Relay or the Power Switch Tail.
The picture and diagram below are hopefully self explanatory.
To enable our Module to operate in this mode it is necessary to place the supplied jumper across pins 7 and 8. on the PCB or if you have purchased the breadboard option make pin D10 HIGH by connecting the 3.3V pin to it with the jumper wire. It's also necessary to have a common ground between the Raspberry Pi or microcontroller and our Module. Make sure that the power source for the Raspberry Pi is at least 2.5A. These connections must be made with the power to our Module being disconnected. See diagram.
So when a GPIO pin on your Raspiberry Pi or output pin on your microcontroller goes HIGH (between 3v and a max. of 5v) our Module transmits a radio signal at 433MHz to turn a relay or plug socket ON. When the signal from the Raspberry Pi or microcontroler goes LOW, our Module transmits another signal turning the socket OFF. The socket only remains ON for as long as the GPIO pin or microcontroller pin remains HIGH. See our Youtube video here.
PAIRING OF SOCKETS TO OUR MODULE
Do this BEFORE you connect your Raspberry Pi or microcontroller to our Raspberry Pi HAT or breadboard Module. Remember that pin D10 has to be HIGH in this Mode.
Suppose you want to pair a socket to pin D2. You simply press the pairing button on the relay or plug socket of your choice. Usually this will result in a flashing light on the relay or plug socket.
You release the pairing button and then make pin D2 HIGH by connecting it with a jumper wire to the 3.3V pin temporarily. The socket will turn ON. When you disconnect the jumper wire from the D2 slot in the breadboard the socket should turn OFF.
Now every time pin D2 is set HIGH or LOW by the Raspi or microcontroller that particular socket turns ON or OFF.
You can then repeat this procedure for pins D3, D4, D5, D6, D7, D8 and D9 if you like.
